Default Cartridge cantilever repair - recent recommendations please?

    Hi

Somehow, I have no idea how, my cantilever is no longer straight, so I'd like a specialist to check it over and make it straight again. I've seen the sticky post here which is useful but I wonder if anyone post a recent recommendation for cartridge repair please? (ideally UK).

    Many thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

I could certainly recommend the 'Expert Stylus & Cartridge Company' based near Redhill.

They did an initial inspection (£40 if you don't go ahead with any work).

The report gave options and costs, I threw the kitchen sink at it - new white sapphire cantilever and ultra low mass diamond - £360.

It sounds lovely now, more detail than before, wider soundstage, still has great ballance between high, mid and low frequencies. It took a little while to run in, but I'm very happy with it.
