Hi. I am wanting to build a new hifi. I have own various over the years. Quad, B&W, Onix, Linn, Monitor Audio, ProAc, etc.
I now want to build a system using 'vintage' speakers, preferably from UK, maybe Tannoy Eaton or B&W DM6, perhaps a Copland Amp, a technics or Linn or Rega deck and some way of streaming.
Any advice, experience or comment welcome

    Hi Matthew
Welcome to the Art of Sound.

As well as those you list, vintage Speakers might also include Quad ESL57, Acoustic Research with many models such as AR 6,7, 2ax etc , Jr149, Kef 104ab
not forgetting speaker stands to suit.

    Hello Matthew. Welcome to AOS.

If you want advice on system building, I'd suggest starting a thread in the Blank Canvas section and outlining your ideas. I'm sure you'll get plenty of response.

Specific questions about vintage gear are best placed in the Past Masters area.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Welcome to AoS Matthew.

It would be a help for us to know what you are looking for in a 'vintage' system. For example what are your tastes in music?
