They just need to start making some good TV shows again so there's something worth watching on the bloody things and then we'd be sorted

    Darn right sir!

I gave up on broadcast TV back in 2014, and I'm so glad I did. I use purely Netflix and Amazon now, but I do struggle to find decent content in amongst their offerings I have to say. Most of it is shite.

Yes I've got Amazon Prime which is £70 a year but struggle to find anything worthwhile on it except 'The Grand Tour' and that's not great.

I fancied watching 'The Larry Sanders Show' again so searched for it on Prime and they have it! But you have to pay extra. Just takes the piss.

Checked out Netflix and they also have very little worth bothering with. I don't think they make telly for people like me anymore; very little anyway.

The Grand Tour is the best thing on there!

I actually got Prime to obtain the free delivery on items as I order around £24,000 worth of items for business each year. I have deliveries pretty much every day, and on each one of those I'm saving £3.00-£5.00. Soon makes the price of Prime worth it, and then there's all the movies stuff too which is a bonus.

Years of poverty and scrupulous painstaking care have embedded in me to the extent that I will not pay for extras, and I resent very much the TV licence for such appalling crap and loads of rich non-event 'celebrities'.

So I record the very few gems, and revisit them hoping to discover more and learn.

Me too, which is why I don't pay for one. Utter waste of money. I have nothing whatsoever to do with the BBC; all their content is appalling, their radio is rubbish and their political stance is pure apologies for everything. Garbage.

A poll taken recently showed that only 4% of people think the BBC is worth the licence fee. Scrap it and leave them to become a subscription service, they'd then be forced to make decent output rather than sitting on their fat, overpaid duffs and eating out on the licence payer's expense.

I think the BBC's mission changed from 'Entertain, educate and inform' to 'Lets try to make the worst TV show ever.'

And after many gallant attempts they finally succeeded with 'Inside The Factory.' The most boring shite imaginable, presented in sub 'Blue Peter Special' style by possibly the most irritating people on the planet.

And I hate the way that when they do get a half-decent show, which you've got to figure is only by sheer blind luck, they flog it to death, and then on beyond death e.g Fools and Horses, Royal Family, Red Dwarf.

It's just a gravy train for politically-correct mediocrities. I'm all for having a public service broadcaster but I'd sack the lot and start again from scratch with a new Charter that's a lot more specific about how they can spend the money. Caps on the presenters' salaries for a start.
