I'm Patrick.
Sadly one of our Border Terriers went out of the back door in March and we haven't seen her since. We are still looking for her.
If you've got a big garden, how about a couple of sheep? Hypoallergenic (probably), and you get your grass cut for free Or as has been suggested, a rat. I'm told they have a good temperament. Don't be tempted by a hamster, just because they look cuter. I got one for my daughter - they sleep all day, run round their bloody wheel all night, they die if you drop 'em, and die anyway after a few months. A really shit pet IME, even worse than terrapins.
If you do choose to get a rat I'd advise buying from a breeder rather than capturing one from behind the bins.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

Border terriers are great, they look a bit bad tempered, but have the sweetest temperament. The only small dog that appeals to me

I'm Patrick.
Thanks. We live in the middle of the countryside and she liked to run off and hunt around for things to chase: she'd done it before and always came back once she'd had her fun, but I think this time she chased something too far and couldn't find her way back home.
She was seen a couple of times about 5 miles away but the trail has since gone very cold (lockdown really didn't help), but we are still looking. Hopefully she's alright somewhere.
Good luck with the search.
I hope you find her.

Thanks. She was born in my hands and we have her Mum and one of her Brothers, so we aren't going to give up.
