    Default Blue note 180g reissues

Seen these surfacing on ebay recently, are they any good or just heavier?

There should be a tone poet sticker on the front of the protective clean vinyl wrapper. Additionally all tone poet album have have thick card making up the album cover. You might also want to have a look on the blue note website and see if you can get an album numbers off the cover shots, might help you recognise them, just a thought!

All of the titles that interest me on the Blue Note 80 Vinyl reissue series are sold out.

Thanks people. These are the one's I mean, cant see anything about 80th anniversary on them. Copy of SPeak no evil went for £50, others around £20-£30, but I think the seller was shilling as I had not one but two 'second chance offers'.

I have one of the original Blue Note pressings of 'Free Jazz', with the punched window gate-fold sleeve; something the re-issues lack. I think I paid £5 for it in 1972.

Oops - so it was. I assumed it was Blue Note because re-pressings of 'Free Jazz' are being sold on the site cited above, along with the Ornette Coleman title mentioned by Mike.

Should have known better, as I have just been through my jazz record collection to replace the inner sleeves where necessary.
