“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Thanks Ali
This is the cleanest B77 I have seen, it sounds great as well

Looks like it just rolled off the line. Never heard one, like to sometime.

Totoman is the owner of this Revox B77 and he also sent me his remote control for service

Looks great .... a friend has an old revox in his loft that he bought in the late 60s or early 70's i keep asking him to get it down ...
Here is an independent review of the B77 on some test tone files by Werner on PFM
I had a quick look at Richard's B77 files.
At 15ips the right channel is 0.4dB below the left one, but this may also be part of the measurement chain, not the deck per se.
Frequency response is very even, smoothly dropping 1dB between 400Hz and 20kHz, both channels tracking perfectly. At +3VU distortion is a mere 0.2%.
At 7.5ips distortion rises to 0.4% at +3VU. The loss at 20kHz is now -1.8dB relative to 400Hz. Bass also is a bit depressed, -2.3dB at 30Hz.
Both speeds have a bit of 50Hz breakthrough, plus harmonics in the right channel.
Overall a very nice restoration.
