Default Franklin great recording box sets, Any good?

Does anyone own and has played any of the Franklin great recording box sets with the red coloured vinyl? As I am interested in a few and was just wondering what the sound quality of the vinyl is like.
    Thanks

I've the first box in History of Jazz collection from the early 1980s iirc ..nice quiet Vinyl although as most of what i have would of been mono recordings originally so it sounds kind of thin but clean .. i hope that might help a bit

Thanks for that Lloyd, As well as the jazz collection I was also interested in the Big Band set which I believe is a mix of stereo and mono recordings.
