Default Saying hello as a new member

Hello. I've just joined. My name's Darius I'm retired and live in Norwich. I'm a vinyl obsessive and listen to a pretty wide range of stuff - Stones, Bowie, Nico, Smiths, Miles Davis, Alice Coltrane, Duke Ellington. Hope to chat with you some of you very soon.

    Hi Darius,

Welcome to AoS. lots of vinyl fans on here like me, although I only got back into it 6 years ago having succumbed to digital in the 80's, which I never was truly happy with.

There are 3 great Threads for exploring what others are listening to and finding new stuff,

    https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...t-Now-(Part-3)

    https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...e-you-spinning

    https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...sical-version)

What gear do you have, always nice to know what others find good.

    Cheers

    Adrian
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

Thanks for the messages, Barry and Andrew. Hi fi setup: Rega Elex amp, Rega Aria phono stage, Pro-Ject Classic super pack turntable with Ortofon Quintet Blue cartridge, B and W 704 speakers and REL T-5i subwoofer. Pretty happy with it, except the turntable, which has been a pain since the beginning. (But I'm going to post about that a bit later.)

I moved your Pro-Ject thread to the Analogue Art section Darius, which is where record playing related matters belong.

Welcome to the forum by the way!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
