Well I've cleaned them and he's had them back. Think he's hoping to get about £350 for the four of them. No idea if he will. He's generally overly-optimistic about these things and I've not checked the prices myself.

Not sure about the other issue of Anarchy with the lightning on the back cover, as ever condition is everything, best sell on Ebay.

No, I never owned any. It just that the idea of collectors paying "silly money" for supposedly rare 7" singles is somewhat divergent from what the punk movement was all about. Their ethos was nihilistic, anti-establishment and their output ephemeral. They would laugh at people using expensive audio gear - to them the family radiogram was perfectly good enough.

Methinks Macca's comment went right over your head (Ok Martin I got it) though I agree there is an irony to it. All I can think is that there are people out there with money to burn, who used to be punks themselves. And the punk "movement" was a relatively short and well defined period in music history. With a strong image. Also the records may have become rare (not too many made, and those that were quickly became landfill).

Not sure what happened with "God Save The Queen though, as it did pretty well back in 1977, may even have made number one, I really can't remember. I think it's just the original A&M pressing, maybe that has become rare. One sold on Ebay for eleven grand a few years ago.
