    Default AliExpress

Following a recommendation for HDMI's cables I'm looking at placing my first order from AliExpress. I was quite disappointed and a little suspicious not to see PayPal as an option. When dealing with sellers I've never used before, especially of this nature, I find PayPal a reassuring payment method, safe in the knowledge that I will always have PP for recourse.

What's your opinion / experience with AliExpress, am I making a fuss over nothing?

I tried to buy something the other day and it was a nightmare as it would not recognise England as a destination! and the page kept defaulting to a load of nonsense. Forget it!
I eventually found the same item on ebay.

Not particularly encouraging, but thanks for the feedback.

The cable and supplier has been recommended on here from a reliable source (https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...70#post1100470), I'm not in anyway doubting Gary, but the price is half that of Amazon, no PP, bank details, all makes me a bit nervous...

That's a bit more positive! Thanks Alan.

Although the site can be a bit complex to navigate I've been happy with the few orders placed.

I've always used a credit card, not bank transfer, to have some degree of protection.

Banggood is the alternative Chinese order platform.

I've not had any problems in the past. A few orders that were wrong, or didn't show (covid issues) were always refunded. But lately when i try to log in, it doesn't send me to my account page. It sends me to a Russian Aliexpress page. From there I have to change language currency etc, and then go to my account. So the website seems to be having issues.
Last order I placed was through the app on my phone. No problems.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I actually picked up an open box deal on another cable on Amazon last night.

Providing that does the job, I've no need to use AiiExpress, looking at the mixed replies that's quite a relief.

    What was your payment method?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
