I've heard a lot of SP10s, similarly set up in slate plinths, so I know how good they are. Not sure I agree though on the looks of the 1210, as long as a) it's a 1210 MK5G (not a fan of the aesthetics of MK2s), b) the tonearm fitted suits it, aesthetically, and for me that means something Japanese with a detachable headshell [plus the fitting of an ebony armboard], and c) the horrible stock platter [how I hate strobe markings] is replaced with the likes of a Mike New one, with a decent mat on top...
That done, for me it looks pretty good [even better though with the pitch slide-control removed, and a plain top-plate]:
