Default Notts Analogue TT upgrade advice sought

    Hi

I am the owner of a Spacedeck with Heavy Kit, Wave mechanic, Ace Space Arm and Lyra Delos. I am considering where to go next and would like some opinion on what may/may not give me the best bang for buck.

    1. Upgrade the arm to a 12" Ace Anna/Moerch or other arm on my current deck.

    2. Upgrade the deck to a Hyperspace and retain the current arm

    3. Upgrade to Hyperspace with 12" arm

    4. Upgrade to a Dais

Or are there other opinions of where to go without going away from Notts Analogue

I'm not 100% familiar, but isn't a heavy kit on spacedeck pretty much Hyperspace level? = Go strait to Dais.

The 9">12" length brings a different presentation to the table, less distortion of course, but also (generally) a more laid back, relaxed sound. Maybe what your after, but don't assume longer is better...

The Hyperspace is clearly better than the Spacedeck and the Dais head n shoulders better than the Hyper. Arm comes after the turntable.

I bet there's no difference between any of them.

If someone sneaked in and plugged in a RP3 I reckon it would fool you or anyone.

Not so. That's another demo I have done, literally, thousands of times.

An A/B comparison between a Rega 3 and a humble NA Horizon with the same arm and cartridge was an ear-opening epiphany for me. Horizon head and shoulders above the Rega.
