The M55E was a re-badged Shure V15 Mk.I. As a 'nail' is wasn't too bad, but not as good as the B&O SP10 cartridges of the time (which cost about the same as a Shure M3D).

i had a b&o cart.. one of the old ones and it was also excellent; in fact i would say, far better than the 55e. was a steel barrel shape. might have been a sp1... was a super thing.Originally Posted by Barry
