I listened to the SC35c in my stock Jelco750D. Promising performance but bass was soft and obviously not right.
Now, not long ago I made a brass shim/weight to do a similar experiment with my DL103r on a FR64fx tonearm, this combination didn't benefit from the extra mass so I removed the shim. I've had to wait for some longer cart screws to arrive but at last I've been able to add the 8g brass shim to the Shure cart/Jelco headshell and also added the Jelco heavy c/weight. The bass has improved greatly as expected but more suprising is the detail that this simple conical stylus can dig out. Very nice, and I still have loading plugs to try but am not covinced that I need them.
