I had a vague recollection that Pepys was something to do with the Royal Navy, turns out he was on the Navy Board so that's why he's at sea. I suppose the texts below the pics are entries from his diary.

Well Sotheby's aren't interested, not valuable enough for them to bother with they said but they were very nice about it.
