Default For Sale: Pioneer CT-333 cassette deck

Pioneer CT-333 cassette deck, minimal use since service by a specialist on one of the forums a short time ago, just checked it and playback and recording are functioning perfectly. Originally this belonged to my brother (he put his postcode on the front as you can see from one of the pictures) who used it once in a blue moon. £50 to include delivery costs to mainland Britain (some outlying districts may incur extra costs). Based in Eastbourne.

    Is that postcode visible permanently?
    Thanks

Good question! It's not really noticeable unless the deck is turned to catch the light on it and of course camera flash highlights everything. It has been in a rack for some time and I wasn't even aware of it and was really surprised when I saw the photo. So in all practicality I would say no.

    Alcohol might remove it?

    Hi Malcolm,
I'll try it but it's doubtful as this would defeat the whole object (i.e. of deterring thieves).
    Thanks

I’d be interested but I don’t wouldn’t like an anti theft post code being visible

    Default cassette deck CT-333

I have added a photo without flash. In practice the deck would presumably not be standing on its own in relatively bright light but markings are nevertheless visible especially if you are aware of it so it depends how much it would disturb you. Judging from your response I expect you will pass on it - a pity as it's a really good deck (quite heavy compared with some of the really flimsy stuff that came out of Japan). Re the price I made a mistake, it should be £57.50 (£50 for the deck and £7.50 courier charges although it will probably cost me more.

But the ink used was only meant to be seen under UV light?

Thanks for the info. I've put it back in the rack now and don't even notice the markings are there (until I go up quite close).
