Pioneer PL-12D mk ii

Hi All,

I have just picked up a Pioneer pl-12d mk2 in cosmetically great condition for little outlay.
It looks well looked after so Gave it a little spin...ummm not convinced by the cart. Grado MT+ Did this come as stock on these?
It''s a bit dull/damp sounding, muddled soundstage.
Obviously no idea of the hours on it, is it worth trying another Cart?
Any pl-12d mk2 owners out there with recommendations.

hi,check the cartridge is set up properly first.

Shure M75 were the standard cartridge for these. An Audio Technica AT95 series would give it a more modern punch.
