    Hello theartofsound,

    I joined this forum as I have a long standing interest in audio. I have enjoyed listening to all sorts of music - but especially from anywhere outside the mainstream, and spend too long looking through the LPs in charity shops. I enjoy a bit of DIY because I prefer to do things on the cheap and also it's fun, I've built various chipamps, a Raspberry Pi based streaming media client and a turntable plinth among other projects. I have way too much old hifi gear in the shed, mostly from the 70s through 90s.
