Lovely collection of gear there Jacques, I also use Quad 57's.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

They are great speakers. They work great on the Technics setup too. In fact, about anything will make them sing I find. The valve amp finds them delicious (16 Ω tap).
Mine were made by OTA 4 years ago.
    If it's broke fix it.

Did the "Le Tube" come with the o-ring for the volume controls or is that a tweak? One for the Croft users maybe?

Love the use of a rubber 'O'-ring to gang the two level controls together. Jean Hiraga designed some good gear, and has/had some interesting ideas on the harmonic spectrum of component distortion products.

    An old trick-see DNM pre-amps.

I was tempted by the Hiraga amps recently. Had to remind myself I was DOWN-sizing not otherwise!

No I came up with that idea years ago!

Hiraga amps used very specific transistors. Today they are unobtainium.
I also have a DIY Kaneda phono preamp with original components.
