I’ve often wondered - if you tried every one of the little things that enhance the sound of your system - would it make your humble system sound so much better than the sum of its parts

Interesting but I think it’s expensive for a record weight/dampener.

Buy an ice hockey puck and drill a hole in it. Works fine and costs peanuts.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I can afford £1.65 so I’ll give it a try.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I’m sure consumer HiFi companies must sit round a table and come up with the most far fetched ridiculous tat, hand it to the marketing team and say “see if you can convince those suckers to buy this” we fall for the marketing blurb every time, the promise of sonic nirvana and think nothing about shelling out hundreds of £££ on complete shite that looks like it cost all of £5 to make

Never tried one, I just use the record clamp supplied with my Orbe. Fair play though it has certainly inspired some creative writing:

“To sum it up, I would say that the Gravity allows the air around vocals and instruments to illuminate the musician’s skills, and as an added bonus it digs the depths of bass allowing the listener to hear the character of both the instrument and player.“
