    Default Joan Armatrading

Joan Armatrading produced by Glyn Johns, analog mastered.

Superbly quiet and flat pressing and well mastered release received on Thursday. Very pleased with this.

If only this much care were taken with quality.

My copy was pressed by Nimbus, one of the first 'supercuts' made in the '90s.

Amazon. On pre-order for months. Still available on Amazon. There will be an SACD release in October I believe. This is after many months of dithering. If you're a fan of Joan then I can recommend this pressing.

I remember seeing a live gig featuring Joan many years back where she was almost boo'd off stage. The support act was Ezio. Not a good gig for fans of Joan.

I saw her at Blackbushe in 1978. She turned up late so they had to reschedule the order, did not seem to go down well but most were not there to see her.

I saw her at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA USA about 5 years ago. It was part of a solo world tour reportedly her last big tour. The Birchmere is a very intimate venue and I was about 12ft from the stage. Brilliant concert with very good acoustics.

That same week I saw Al Stewart and Shawn Colvin at the same venue.

1978? That's 42 years ago Today her concerts sell out consistently
