Default WTD - Mini System for Lock Down Mum

    Hi All

This is probably an impossible mission, but worth a try...

I'm going up to see my Mum today -* for the first time since lockdown. She has a Denon Mini system hooked up to a nice pair of Diamonds. However, it sounds as if the Denon is completely dead.

Mum has found the lockdown very very hard, she is by herself and is quite frail and her music really helps her to carry on, she loves it.

So, i'm desperately looking for a decent little mini system, (like the Denon) - the CD player is the most important thing and no speakers required.

However - her budget is really tight (i will chip in) and i would love to try and get something delivered by saturday, so i can set it up for her before i leave.

If anyone can help, i'd be so grateful - please let me know if you can.

    All the best

    Rich

PS - I should add that she really needs to self isolate due to various underlying conditions, so this is the last time i will see her for a month or so - i have had to take a Covid test yesterday - just to make sure i'm safe

I would say your best bet would be local charity shops, they often have them in at £15 - £40.

Sorry , I should have mentioned the location- Kidderminster.
I’ve tried smart stuff, she is definitely better off with CD’s.
Budget £100 tops, pref lower if possible.
Driving up now, back in 2/3 hours.
    Thanks all
