Default Allo Revolution DAC - It's arrived and it's awsome

    Hi all

The new Revolution DAC has arrived and it's a truly awesome.

    A few facts about this:

The Revolution DAC is a USB dac. It supports PCM, DSD direct (DSD512) and DoP 256. The Rev DAC can be use with windows and other Linux /Mac systems.

The Katana supports PCM and DoP64 and DoP128 and doesn't support DSD direct (DSD native).

This new DAC has lots of settings to 'tune' it to your tastes/system too.

I will be updating this post as I go along with listening and more, better pictures will follow.

More information to come including a full review here and on my website: www.tannoyista.com

Be interesting to hear if it sounds better with OSF Bypass Jo, the D90 definitely sounds better in Dac mode rather than Preamp mode, with the volume control inactive.

Looks good and I like the display. No awful blue LEDs. Can't see it for sale anywhere though?

Amazingly enough it's on the Allo.com website and it's $318 plus postage to Europe

"DAC mode" streets ahead of "Preamp mode" on my poor mans D90 (E30) . . . . bought it as I wanted the preamp function but performance with it bypassed is noticeably increased.

To be fair the Allo website isn't the best laid out

How much was the postage? Did you have to pay tax and customs fee?
