    Default Losing my forum virginity

Hello all. I’m David & this is my first post (?) and my first time on this forum (?) Audio & sound reproduction has been a major interest of mine from a very young age & spurned an obsession & career in electronics. I’ve been upgrading & building my audio system (s) for over forty years with a focus on realistic reproduction (well recorded) whether it be in the analogue or digital domain, valve or solid state. I love music of most genres & appreciate realistic reproduction need not cost a kings ransom. Good luck to all in our quest for audio satisfaction.

Hello David and welcome to a great forum.

It is a long and winding path to audio nirvana. In my case the trouble is the goal posts keep moving....?

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Hi David, nice to meet you.

I used to have a transistor radio with a 2" speaker - and that was good enough for me. Then I discovered Hi-Fi!

    Enjoy mate.

Sell for good money on eBay, or at least they used to.

A female university student tried to do that a few years ago, to help pay her tuition fees. Ebay had to pull the 'item for sale', otherwise they would have been guilty of immoral earnings.

(Apologies for the "thread drift" David. AoS is notorious for it!)

It's entirely up to an individual if they want to sell their virginity. eBay are a bunch of knobs.
