    I'm Glen.

    Default Hello to everyone.

    Greetings from Doncaster.
I've been collecting records for far longer than I care to remember.
    Current equipment
    Pro-ject 2 Xperience turntable + Pro-ject 9cc arm and AT VMS95ML cartridge
Graham Slee and NAD phono stages
Marantz PM6006 UK Edition Integrated amp
Marantz CD6006 UK Edition CD player
    Cambridge CXN V2 Network streamer
    Sony ST-SE700 FM tuner
    Mission LX-5 Floorstanding loudspeakers
    Oppo BDP-103EU blu-ray player

Plus other kit that I really need to move on.

Into a wide variety of music but especially harmony.
Can't wait until this CoVID thing is over and live concerts start up again
I enjoy seeing the look on peoples faces when they hear recorded music
played on even a half decent system.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Hello Glenn.

Apologies for the tardy welcome - somehow I missed your post, but welcome anyway.

Agree with regarding being unable to attend concerts due to current circumstances. I can't wait for them to start up again!

In the meantime - enjoy the Forum.

You and me both, mate! Missing going to some live gigs in Liverpool and Manchester, big time. Also with you totally on the latter - what experiences have you had in that respect?

Anyway, good to see another music lover join AoS. Hope you enjoy yourself here
