    I'm Grant.

Default JBE 3 SLATEDECK TURNTABLE AND SME 3009 Mk2 imp TONEARM.

Time has come to let this go i think. Im not going to get back to vinyl with my health.
Overall the JBE series 3 is in great condition considering its 40yrs young, and uses a direct drive Matsushita motor.
One foot is loose but it doesnt affect it and can be fixed fairly easily if your fit.
Off board controller was recently checked over and cleaned by Allan Firebottle and works fine again. Pots are working(2 speeds. 33/45).

Arm is a SME 3009 imp mk2 with an audio technica headshell and a jvc(actually a audio tech rebadge) cartridge which is actually very good.. Arm is in good working condition, and i have an extra rear weight which allows it to use heavier carts and tracks over 2gm fine.
The standard cable is sideways fitting.
Currently got a small dustcover on as i prefer it but the original cover is around somewhere and was in good nick. Should have hinges for it too.

Will throw in the Nagaoka stylus cleaner/centre spindle weight too.

Will currently need to be pick up only as im not able to box it currently. Worth the trip at the price tho as these arms go for a fair amount now.

Shall we say £425. No haggle .. think thats more than fair.

indeed, it is.. but im happy enough with digital now. once this sells i will move on the phono stage and the record cleaner too. a load of vinyl will go in a lump too.. might keep a few just for old times sake.. can always make frames etc.

this is a good buy as the tt is as gaz says, very decent indeed, and that slab of Welsh slate which is very heavy, would cost a fortune now

Very nice indeed Grant, the SME S2 i can go for this much on ebay without the deck so whoever gets it is getting a bargain.

End of an era indeed (the pun would have been better if it was an ERA TT) - but I think you have made the right decision.

Your JBE and and SME arm are both fine pieces of equipment, are in excellent condition, and your asking price for the combination makes it an absolute bargain. I would say GLWS, but I don't think you will need it - I don't expect you will have any difficulty in selling the arm and turntable.
