Despite many saying Solvol Autosol is good, I don't like it because it contains coarse abrasives. This also applies to Simonize chrome cleaner, and most metal cleaners.

Chrome plating is porous, and this is indicated by the spots on corroded surfaces.

If the Chrome is good which it probably is I would use Silvo, which is very, very, finely abrasive, and then finish with a polymer coat like Simonize Diamond Wax, (polymer coat), which protects, and allows easy wiping, (one hell of a finish after these two, just done my titanium bike with these.)

Yes - I should have put the second clause in quotes. But regular Coke can be used as a metal cleaner.

This: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2997506/ makes interesting reading; whilst not supporting the myth, it does offer evidence that colas are not necessarily good for teeth.

Its nowt special just a Aluminium bar drilled for the spindle + 2x 5mm holes (one for the 9.5 & one for a 12" OL) A 5mm bolt goes through the hole and into a 23mm brass plug that sits in the arm hole in the arm board.
As has been stated above pivot to spindle distance is 222mm. Effective length (pivit to stylus) is 239mm, so 17mm overhang. Most generic protractors will match in with this, even the freebie from an 80s hifi mag you've probably get t stashed in a drawer somewhere.
so the same as a Rega, what's all the fuss about

On something as expensive as that abrasion is a concern and should IMO be minimised

Duraglit/Brasso/Silvo all one and the same but all do a really good job.

Comes in a tin and is a very soft wadding like material soaked in a liquid.
