Agreed, but they do describe the arm geometry parameters: effective arm length, overhang and offset angle. From these you can see if the arm is designed to follow any of the three recognised arm geometries to minimise tracking error: Baerwald, Loefgren or Stevenson.

I have tried several setups all failed as the cart was way to far forward
The only one that came very near is UNI DIN
Set to that , arm now installed , VTA set hopefully
Just need to remove a spacer washer from the arm lift as the arm does not touch the record , Fitted a new lift as the old one would not stay up , when you let the lever go the arm lowered again .
Now out of time for today as its bed time
FINGERS CROSSED tomorrow should be the day , very close now to hearing the first record

thats strange??
ok in that case i would just check that the mounting distance is correct,it should be 223mm from the tonearm pivot to the spindle.

origin live do state the tonearm specs,i found them here half way down the page, https://www.originlive.com/hi-fi/ton...arm-encounter/
they seem to differ to the vinyl engine figures. is your a 9 or 10 inch arm al?
