    Default 1200 bearing noise?

I have a 1999 1200M3D, I replaced the bearing with a new one about 6 years ago and also put a Delrin thrust plate on it from KAB.

I noticed some noise when putting my ear close to the platter, like a rubbing noise.

Spinning by hand I still hear it.

Pulled the platter off and turning the spindle by hand I hear it.

When I removed the bearing from the turntable and turn the spindle by hand I don't hear the noise.

    Any ideas?

Just a question, does it get worse of you apply downward pressure on bearing? If so may be worth checking the lower plate is nice and tight and popping a bit of oil at end of spindle while u are there.
May not help but might help rule out a possible source of the noise.

If the bearing is out of line slightly it may be the platter rubbing on the case of the tt

    Is the bearing well lubricated.
If you remove the shaft is there any signs of any scratching on the shaft or bronze bearing.
Is the derlin baseplate OK Its only held on with two self tapping screws from the pictures Ive seen
