    😅

The best I’ve ever heard are the B&W Nautilus (admittedly on the end of a quarter of a million pounds system).

Staggering insight, fluid, nothing jumps out, nothing hidden, all frequencies covered and so smooth and musical. Plus they look absolutely jaw dropping.

Luckily I’m good friends with the manager at Martin’s Hi-Fi in Norwich, so I get to hear all sorts of goodies. 😃

The best system I've heard is Mark's (of Ming Da fame). I don't know what the speakers are, but the whole lot sounds fantastic:

They are out of my price range (and floor space).

The speakers I aspire to a Graham Audio LS8 - I've heard them at a couple of shows and love their sound. However, the LS6 is closer to my budget

The other speakers I've always enjoyed are the Fujitsu Eclipse TD712z. It was these that led to me getting my current speakers - the older TD512

How long ago did you hear Mark's speaker Rob?

The speakers are hORNS Universum, if it was more than 4 months ago then they sound even better now. Particularly on the end of the latest Audio Detail power amps.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Thing is, are 'the best speakers' you've heard, the same thing as the ones you liked most?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

And as a corollary - I've heard some very well-regarded speakers sounding awful, due to either lousy set-up, or the rooms they were demonstrated in being far too small. Some examples being the Linn Isobariks; Dayton Wright XG-8 electrostatics, and the Sound Labs A1 electrostatics.

Don't really have a ''best ever heard speakers''. But, one of my favourites are the Neat Petite III.

It would be about 4 months ago I think. I first went over there to see if he could service my Ming Da headphone amp. He also did a great job servicing my Beard amp. I get over there a couple of times a year and it's always a pleasure.

I bought one of his Audio Detail phono amps so know how good Mark's amps are. He said you'd visited, as I mentioned having one of your phono amps. .... I may be a serial phono amp purchaser

    😅

They are a bit alien-esque now you mention it. Sound amazing though! My girlfriend thinks they’re ugly, but what does she know?! 😂
