Lol - just LOADS to do, (mainly in the garden and grounds), which are pretty big! We're making fundamental changes to becoming self-sufficient, so mostly to do with clearing spaces for raised beds to facilitate vegetable planting. If you get to go, enjoy France. Personally, I wouldn't entertain going abroad again until things get more back to normal. It's chaotic enough during the tourist season in normal times...

Where we go (Cap d'Agde) isn't at all touristy, apart from French folk - in all the times we've been there, I've never come across a single Brit. Apart from the odd meal out we cook at home and buy from the local boulangerie, boucherie, and Lidl. You would be so proud of usWe do drive around a bit, but don't really mingle as our French is pretty basic.

Just checked the local weather station and we only had about 2mm since midnight, which is surprising, yesterday we had about 5mm, so not much really but some more is forecast, good for the garden and I don't need to water it for a while.

Yes most of the heavier rain went south of here. Just had some heavy drizzle so everything soaked, now about 4mm today maybe 5mm, waterbutts are all full up up, so should be ok for the rest of July.
