I'd agree about Jack and also the striker situation, which looks a little lightweight. I'm not sure about Itten or Roofe, as I don't see either getting 20 goals in a season, a la Morelos, who may well be off in the summer, and Defoe is getting past it now, probably due to land a coaching role at the club.

However, it's the same for us, as Edouard will almost certainly be off. Klimala's already gone, as will Ajeti, sooner rather than later, and will Griffiths still be there next season? I still think he's got something to offer, as on form he's the best penalty box striker in the league.

However, in terms of this season, If I were a Rangers fan I'd be bitterly disappointed at how it's all petered out after tying up the title.

Rangers should've at least had a double this season, and Gerrard's lack of cup success (since he's arrived at Ibrox) for me puts both question marks on his managerial ability, and crucially dilutes the team's success this season in the league. The Scottish cup loss has tainted and undoubtedly taken some of the shine off of their title win.

I've been listening to some of the phone-ins and Rangers fans going on about it having been a tough season, with playing over 50 games, claiming 'mental tiredness', yada, yada.... Well, Celtic won *12 trophies* on the trot, including the cup knockout competitions, which Rangers have struggled in, so just think how 'mentally tiring' THAT was!!

Therefore, I'd say to the Rangers fans, if you want to talk about mental tiredness, come back to me when you've won 12 trophies in a row (not just one out of a possible nine since Gerrard's arrival), and with it a quadruple treble, within which Celtic also achieved a 64-game unbeaten run, and we'll talk about mental tiredness...

Whilst trying to be as unbiased as possible, and ably admitting that Rangers won the league this year at a canter, if we're talking benchmarks, then they've still got a LONG way to go before emulating what Celtic achieved as true 'invincibles', and the mental toughness, skill, and remarkable levels of consistency it took to win those 12 trophies in a row.

This is a good Rangers team, but it's got much work to do before becoming a great one.

Rangers are very much a work in progress and while they are still unbeaten in the League but for some reason have been hopeless in the cups.
There will be quite a few changes this summer to both teams if anyone thinks Rangers are currently a great team they are deluded.

Gers have been poor in cups for many years and its become a mental issue now. until or if the hoodoo is broken ... still, the game plan was league and it was achieved. Winning it again next year will be a big big plus; but who knows
yes they are very much a work in progress still. i expect about 5 new first team players, plus a couple of others. maybe more depending on outgoings.. mid may need most looking at.
Helander, Kent and maybe Barisic could leave. Defoe too and who knows re Alf... personally i think he will stay but anything is possible.

Nice easy win, mate. 4-1. Reflects the differences in the team at the moment. The end of this season can't come soon enough, lol!

We'll see what a new era brings next year at Celtic...
