so Scotland scraped through to next round... judging by the report, it may be just a game too much, but you never know i suppose.

Possibly the worse 120 minutes of football I’ve watched in a long time, but its the result that counts.

Another good result for Scotland last night, not exciting football but that’s 8 games unbeaten.

Yeah I missed it... We're certainly building up some nice momentum before the game with Serbia. One thing that's patently obvious with the most recent Scotland performances is the influence of Steve Clarke now he's been in charge for a good few months.

Organisationally and defensively [two Clarke traits] we're MUCH better now, and so no longer look like losing stupid goals because of careless mistakes! That will defo give us a chance against Serbia, but it won't be easy. Even if we don't make it, Clarke has to be given enough time to stamp his full authority on the team and build for the next major competition.

On a different note, what's your views for Saturday's game at Celtic Park? I can't see past you pumping us, with all the players we'll have missing!

Scotland are far better defensively now and better organized, not an easy watch though. As for high noon on Saturday its an Old firm game so you never know what’s going to happen but saying that I don’t think we will lose.

No, neither do I. Aside from the players we'll have missing, Rangers will want to set down a marker, to really show that they're genuine title contenders this year, plus there'll still be a lingering sense of injustice (although I don't buy into that) that Celtic were wrongly 'given' the title last season, so they'll be desperate to 'avenge' that...

And as I've always said, when it comes to old firm games, the team who NEEDS to or WANTS to win most invariably does, so in this one, for me, given that Celtic will also have a number of key players out, I can't see past a Rangers win.

Yup, in terms of Scotland, no not an easy watch, but Clarke got us playing to our strengths, so that we're no longer a 'soft touch', and the thing in our favour now is that although we don't have any 'world beaters', there is genuine quality right throughout the team, which wasn't the case before, and if we can get a bit more cutting edge up front, we'll be a decent side.

Don't think you'll be missing many tbh. Eduard my not be fit but Christie should be back. The 2 isrealies obviously but are they first 11.
Gers will be without a few too.
I don't think rangers are favs in my mind. Quite the opposite.

2-0 to the Gers, well done. I told you so!

Haven't watched the game yet, so no idea about the ins and outs. However, it certainly proves that we've got a fight on our hands this year. More later.

Thanks Marco, Rangers dominated the game. Celtic shots on target = 0.
