Well, it's made a big difference in the past to both sides winning games with last-minute goals, which almost certainly the presence of fans helped. I don't disagree with your assessment above, but the fact remains that your (admittedly well-deserved) title win this season was gained against a Celtic and Aberdeen side in decline.
If/when you win the title against those teams (and others), when they've been at their best, then the achievement will have been far greater.
That's my point, and one which ultimately acts as a barometer for "spectacular". In that respect, when you go 47 domestic (not just league) games unbeaten, like we did as 'invincibles', or win 12 trophies in a row, contributing to a quadruple treble, come back to me about 'spectacular'
No doubt in some people's minds that's true, but it's not how I see things.but as is always in scotland, there has to be a winner, and the other might as well have come last. just the of fans attitude, which i find a bit tedious. Hence why i hope hibs win cup as it means 2 more sides get glory. Something all fans should taste
I'm just bitterly disappointed by how badly our summer recruitment went, and our age-old dilly-dallying, in terms of making transfers a 'done deal', which came back to haunt us big time, and was as much a reason why we were so poor and lost the league, as anything else - particularly when the business Rangers did in that respect was the complete opposite!
No, I'm rooting for St Johnstone, for the reasons previously indicated, and because it would go down in history as a remarkable [unlikely to be repeated] double-cup win for a provincial team. However, I fancy Hibs to win.
Marco.
