    Default Help. I have no idea what i'm doing. Heybrook TT2.

    Hi all,
    Apologies for all the stupid questions i'm about to ask.
    I've got some pieces that have been in storage for ages that i never got round to putting together - a Heybrook TT2 with a Jelco 750d tone arm with a Denon DL-103 MC. This will be going through a A&R Cambridge A60 and some Heybrook HB2 speakers.
    A&R A60 and the speakers are working fine but I'm getting no sound when selecting mag p.u on the A60, am i right in thinking i need a phono pre-amp (if so would the Rega Phono MC be a good choice?) or should i still hear some sound without a pre-amp?
    Also have a Fidelity Research FRT-3 to throw into the mix.
    Should the setup be TT2 -> FRT-3 -> Phono Pre-amp -> A60?
    Thanks in advance!

    Not sure, but I have a feeling the phono stage became optional on later A60 amps. The 103 + FRT-3 work together extremely well, bit not without a phono stage, either external or built into the amp.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
