    Default Audiomeca CDP Maintenance Advice

I have an Audiomeca Talisman CDP which needs a little attention.
The laser assembly slides on 2 stainless steel rods which needs the occasional lubrication
Any ideas as to what to use?

Some info here specifically about an Audiomeca CD sled which might be of use.

Light silicone grease as used for some TT bearings, eg Pro-Ject.

Clean the rails with a cotton bud soaked in lighter petrol to remove old lubricant and accumulated dust, re-lubricate with lite sewing machine oil. It's what I use on my Lector CDP7TL. Just put some on a cotton bud and then spread it about on the rails and sled.

The type of lubrication you use must depend on the two surfaces which you are trying to lubricate. What is the other material?

    Thanks for the response.
The other material is a hard plastic ? block.
I was thinking a silcone spray onto a cotton bud?

Thanks to you Guys that responded
I used isopropyl alcohol to clean and then a food safe silicone spray onto a cotton bud to apply to the sliders.
