No lights at all , I did slip the wooden cover back on so the 2 pins were in place , It also said you can make up a jumper cable using 2 x 4mm banana plugs

Who had a AudioAl moment , Me I did
You need to put the remote plug back in when you re fit the case or it wont work
It now powers up , The capstan bearings sound a bit lumpy
I will try putting a tape on it later , Not holding out much hope for it actually playing OK , Time will tell

Yep i'm on Metformin tabs 4 500mg a day and one Trajenta 5mg
Trouble is they don't give you test strips for the blood suger level monitor , so I have no way of knowing what it is
Should be around 6 and when I conked out I was at 17.4 , Have been as high as 23
I lost all sence of balance , staggering around like a drunk and having to hold on as I walked around the house or I would go over , Called 111 NHS they had a docter call me at home and on the advise given I was advised to go straight into A&E
8 hours later after many testd CT scan X-ray and all sorts af extractions I was kicked out , Had to get a bus home as I was not up to driving as I went by cab
Ho Hum life is variable

The manufacturer of blood sugar monitors are sneaky - the monitor and a few test strips are given for free, but they will charge you a lot for replacement strips.
Glad to hear you are now "back on an even keel", it must have been frightening at the time!
After I was daignosed with Type II I was prescribed Glycicide, which could cause 'hypos'. It was also a PITA having to take them 20 minutes before eating. Anyway after about a year (of me complaing about the inconvenience of it all) and having a more than acceptable blood sugar level, they took me off all medication. Thanks to watching my diet I am now officially in remission (initially they said I had 'recovered', but apparently there is no such thing! ) My HaB1c is 39, which is the same for a normal healthy person (< 42).
Apologies for the tread drift.
