    So are these any good or is it just the look? If produced OEM in Japan they might not be as bad as I presume..

    I collect vintage receivers and as a British made and - in a way - handsome looking unit I want one to fill a hole in my collection that mainly comprises high end Japanese stuff. They're absolutely nothing special performance wise and they switch on with a loud thump as there's no protection relay due to cost cutting, it's a basic 'cheap' receiver that was made to look flashy.

    Lord Sugar thought that it was important for his equipment to look like a 'mug's eyeful.' He even says so in his book!

    Thanks Lawrence. I have the larger Goodman's 150 in my collection. In the 70s I had a Goodmans module 90.

    Sounds like you've got a few gaps in the complete range then
