Also I have started using deionised water from halfords or tesco with no discernable difference in sound quality.
Thanks Nick, have just picked up 2.5l of deionised water from Tesco , which is a start.

For obvious reasons Isopropyl Alcohol is not that easy to find at decent price just now.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I've been using 5 parts (or is that 4 parts? I've never been one for details) DeIonised Water to 1 part Alcohol, with a 'splash' of infotol. Seems to work nicely on my RCM. I've also been using up a bottle of "The Right One" fluid and there's no discernible difference between my concoction and theirs.
The RCM has to be the best Hifi investment I've ever made, I think.

At the moment I might just order, more of the Pro-Ject cleaner that was supplied with the RCM

Compare the pro-ject's cost to The Right One fluid, which you can get 1/2 a litre for £18 from MCRU. It's decent stuff and might work out a cheaper option than the pro-ject stuff. It should tide you over until alcohol becomes a sensible price again.
