Hate that type of 'sticky' humid weather, where you're just constantly sweating and feeling dirty/icky. Thank goodness it's a little cooler here, so far, accompanied by a pleasantly refreshing breeze! Going out for my usual 3-mile walk soon (don't like pushing myself too much in this heat), and which will set me up nicely for lunch later!

Really? It's still a bright 'summer's day' here, and 25C. What temp you got?

Can't see any rain reaching here until the earliest tonight, but when it comes it'll be LONG overdue!! I may sit out in it, under shelter in our backyard, as I love the smell of fresh rain on hot soil/concrete, and the rather intimate and magical atmosphere it brings!

Rain due to start at 0200 here, you get it at midnight. And it doesn't stop until 1700 tomorrow.

For some reason I don't understand they've stopped putting weedkiller on the pavements so the weeds are flourishing. Couple of thistles opposite me are now 5 foot high and there's grass growing in the gutters.

The barber shop, which is closed of course, has a hedge growing in front of the entrance. He's not going to be able to get in there when he comes back to re-open. And a full day of rain will just speed up the growth.

I quite like it, makes the whole place look a bit more 'rural'.
