    I'm Stefan.

    Default Hello from Germany

Hi I'm Stefan 39 years old and electrician.

During education my interest in audio systems continiously grew.

I build some speakers and some amplifier and step by step i got a setup which makes me feel comfortable.

    Speakers: Duetta Top (selfmade)
Amplifier: some selfmade and a Naim Supernait
Streamer: selfmade Raspberry Stream with a Hat-Dac and a Auralic Aries Mini
DAC: IFI iMicro iDSD and a Soncoz SGD-1

I nearly enjoy all types of music from classic to jazz and rock. my favourite is something like progressive rock

I love to build things with wood, cause my grandfather have got a carpenter garage i got from him after his death.

Actually i have not so much time for my hobby cause of restauration of the house, but I'm looking forward to build some new speaker next year. I want to build some open buffle speaker. I learned during the time a little bit about room correction and how to reduce the effects of room modes. I have got the luxury that one room in the carpenter garage is for pary and my audio equipement. here i have got plenty of room (8x7m) to play around.

Thanks a lot & best regards

    Stefan

Guten Tag Stefan. I did elementary German at school about a hundred years ago!

You system looks good. Open baffle speakers are probably the easiest to build, but not the easiest to get to sound right. Your room at 8x7 metres should give you a lot of scope for experimenting.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
