Haha. Good idea. When stopped, just say, ‘Sorry officer I was using my Cummings sense’.

In your position I would, rather than buy a stop gap, use this as an opportunity to see if I can get an even better amp.

It depends on your luck, I had a Sony ES amp which had a ton of cold solder joints - after struggling with it for a while I reflowed all solder joints I could get to without total disassembly and sold it cheaply (I told the buyer about this problem but he was OK with that)

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around

Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

I don't see the problem with sending it. I sold one, last week and it was sent to the customer.

i'd have to spend considerably more than a few hundred quid to top the primaluna i think

I've had a few bad experiences with delivery firms, i'd rather drive up when Scotland allows us in Dave

Give Struan a call I’m sure he’d do his best to help you out and possibly have it delivered. HiFi Corner is where I bought my Primaluna power amp from and dealing with them was great.

Mike, I have a perfectly good integrated here (BOW Wazoo XL) which is doing absolutely bugger all at the moment - you can borrow for as long as you like, till your new pride 'n' joy arrives
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

    KICKSTARTER: ENABLING SCAMMERS SINCE 2009
