Default Monitor Audio PMC 705 Floorstanding speakers

So i've just got myself a new pair of speakers so my PMC 705's need a new home.

As you can see from the photos they are in really good condition, the only damage is a little dent on one of the tweeter grills, no damage to the tweeter but the grill does have a small dent that isn't noticeable but if you run your finger over it you can feel the dent, apart from that they are mint, i have the cloth grills and packaging, although the fabric on the grills is coming off in a few places, i've never used em so never stuck the cloth back down.

the speakers are 6 ohm and will handle 200 wpc, they are sealed enclosures and work well near to a rear wall, the mid range on these are exceptional and they have surprisingly good low end extension given the relatively small 6 inch bass drivers.

Now down to price, well i think they are still worth £300 which is what i paid for them about 1 1/2 years ago, as i've said i've got boxes for them and due to my work can drop them off if i'm passing or you're welcome to collect.

Always loved the look of these but sadly never had the chance to hear them. Have liked other MA speakers of this period though, nice treble not as forward as later models. They tread the fine line between clarity and brightness very well.

Are they ported? It was around this time MA moved away from mainly sealed boxes.

No they are sealed, their smaller brothers are ported

Nice should have tight bass and work well nearer the wall.

They certainly do, most people think floor standers need to be away from walls to be at their best or due to their size won't be easy to live with but that's not always the case and definitely not the case with these which have a very small footprint indeed
