    I'm sorted.

    Default Mystery veteran car

Can anyone identify this car? It apparently belonged to a friend's Granddad. If it helps (it hasn't helped me) the reg was NS411. Closest we've got is an Albion.

Thanks for your assistance in advance!

Thanks for having a look Grant. Any idea what model? I've looked through all the images for Stevens-Duryea that Google throws up and whilst some are similar none really match?

True enough after all they were basically just horse carriages with engines added, easy enough to adapt. It was apparently purchased in 1911, must have been second hand because it's obviously a much earlier car. Wouldn't want to try parallel parking it.

There are clues in the image, On the rear panel is its name, what appears as in the last section dallgo 4V and prior to that what looks as clifford
    but is very obscured.

The second clue is the use of larger rear rear wheels, very few manufacturers were doing this. and the Year is between 1898- and 1903
as I can see. These pages give many manufacturers and detail of individual designs. http://earlyamericanautomobiles.com/1902.htm

Thanks very much for studying the picture in such detail but try as I might I can't make out those words (any words) but I'm only looking at a laptop screen, where exactly are they?

And thanks for the resource you linked to, I'll have a look through that later.
