Default Old valve amp , bin it ??

    Morning all,
I what I think its just an old P.A valve amp, I wonder if the parts may be of any value?
    The transformers are substantial.

I’ve just discovered what it is
    It’s a Grampian 562A PA amplifier .

No. Don't bin it. I had a mono power amp, very similar vintage and look, Alan Firebottle transformed it into a fantastic-sounding stereo amplifier. He's your man for that sort of thing.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

    Good link.

Yes it would be a travesty to bin it.
To convert it to a stereo amplifier would need a couple of quality SE output transformers, suitable for EL34. Output power would be 8-10W.

The rest of any conversion is small signal stuff and wouldn't cost a lot.

Thanks for the info mate, tbh it’s not something that interests me so I’ll hopefully move it on .

I would bin it - the controls only go up to "10"!

Check his buyer feedback, you'll see if he's a messer or legit. Unless he has none of course!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
