I just picked up a bargain Hadcock 228 and wanted to try it on my 1210 but need an armboard I've contacted Sound Supports but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

Thanks Mikey I dropped them an email and have also just heard back from Sound Supports who have quoted me a very reasonable £45 aluminum one.

I get what your saying but this Hadcock is a total experiment I'm not sure if it will mount well and of course sound good so spending £100 or more on an armboard for an arm that may not suit makes no sense to me and even if it does things I like I'll most probably buy a 242 anyway and keep the 228 for a budget second system deck so the Technics/228 armboard will most probably end up redundant and in a draw.

I got the armboard from Sound Supports though not fitted it yet as the Hadcock is away having a rewire.
I used a hadcock on the technics it works really well and as for test arm boards there’s a shop that sell perspecs in George street hove I paid £5 each for a 6” square then drew round a arm board used a protractor to mark the hole drilled and sanded works and looks a treat
Modded td160 super Thorens ol encounter arm hana sl cart, angle audio studio pro mc virtual battery phono amp with separate psi, Onix pre and mono amps, Onix CD player, Onix BWD and soap tuner. B&W dm2 speakers or super pencil 12 speakers, atlas cables, seperate mains power supply with earth spike.
