Default FS - Lentek integrated amplifier

    Difficult decision this.

    This has been so impressive.
Can be used as a pre, power or integarted.
    Built like a tank.
    Sounds wonderful.
Can't think of anything that comes close at the price.

Has been used with kef 104/2 and is well suited to difficult speakers such as big yams.

    Wear to power button paint.
A few blemishes as it is nearly 40 years old, but overall very nice condition.

    Selling only for financial reasons.

£425 collected or please arrange a courrier.

    Thanks for looking.

Silly cheap for what they go for.
I`ve never seen anything like it for build quality (hiii for otherwise).

It's in my all time top 5 hifi gear for sure.

They are a stupendous amplifier with sympathetic speakers. They were a fortune new, £745 in 1978, and were built to an extremely high standard. I took mine to a demo and the dealer said, "What the hell is that? Forget about replacing it for under £4k!"
Main system: Sony TTS8000; AT1010; Audio Technica Art1; The Lentek; Cambridge 851n, Yamaha NS1000.
    System 2 - SBT; Technics SH-X1000 DAC; Denon PMA-850

I want a mint cosmetic one now ! I’ve just bought quad 909 too which is now redundant ( not tried it with the lentek yet )

I've got a minter, serviced and recapped too!
Seriously though, it is an excellent amplifier, really top drawer. It was cost no object and the review I sent ypu earlier, declared it the best available, at that time.

It is fussier than the specs suggest though: with some speakers it is just amazing, while ordinary with others.

One of the main reviewers used one as his preamp of choice for many years. Personally, I prefer it as an integrated.

I’m going to try it with the 909 a bit later but I just don’t see how it could be improved, might be an end game for me but I must a get a mint one otherwise it just bugs me.
How’s the teaching going over there ? Are you in lockdown too ?
