I'll think of you if I ever part with mine! It's a great match with NS1000 and Kef 104.2 as well. The commonality is an easy load. Matched well, awesome.

Teaching here is superb: a great school in a fabulous city. Of course, things have changed so I have been teaching my class remotely, for some time.

It is a stellar perform and cheap as chips for what it brings to the party. I have one too and I'm very pleased with mine.

I think that you will notice a softening of the bass when using the Quad as a power amp. With the right speakers, the Lentek absolutely nails it lower down, with total control, speed and tonality.

The first thing I noticed with the quad ( for all of the 3 days I’ve had it ) is its punch , very nice at low volume too .

If anyone tells you that they became Audiolab, they did, but it would be like Rolls Royce deciding to make a Granada - it would be absolutely fine and work well but there would be lower specification and lower cost components throughout, which there were. The problem was that it was the most expensive integrated out there and at the price point, people wanted pre-power amplification. Only 500 were made and then they jacked it in and formed Audiolab.

I loved reading this review as a memory of the time.

Imagine if they made a legacy version now

It would be bloody expensive, for certain.

Sounds like one of the biggest bargains I've seen for a while. I thoroughly enjoyed Geoff's review's of it.
    Enjoy

I didn't write the review, just found it online but it was exceptionally thorough, comparing it to equally expensive and more expensive amplifiers, including pre-power designs, of the period.
