Apologies if I set the ball rolling on this, it was only after I noted the unit had indeed been sold. As a final comment I would say that that people often confuse the Lounge Audio LCR MKII and MKII for the Valab LCR MKII and III. Needless to say they are completely different units. Anyway, Kevin at Valab can explain the MKIII improvements over the earlier model much more eloquently than me...

I had noted that the stage had been sold and just called out the apparent stupidity in counting capacitors as a way of telling the quality of a phono stage.
It does sometimes beggar belief the ridiculous notions that find their way into 'common belief' without technical understanding.
