Default [FS] Valab LCR-1 mk2 phonostage

Selling my Valab LCR-1 phonostage, complete with original documentation and original box. Selling because I don't play enough vinyl to justify keeping several phonostages. It was a tough call between this and the GS Accession MC, but the latter's mono-switch ultimately carried the day (that's how good this is, and how bland I am).

I am the second owner. It is in fine technical condition, optically as new with the exception of a small dent in the bottom-left corner of the main unit (details available for your inspection in the photo album). It was already there when I bought this from the original owner, but never really bothered me.

The virtues of this phonostage are sung extensively on the net -- you'll forgive me for not adding to this praise.

    Pictures here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/c65GLd7EWgiYbXuz5

I am in Brussels, but will be happy to post this in the original box for 15£.

Looking for 500 £ for this, which I think is a fair price in view of the optical blemish.

Suitable photos are required Steven. Thanks.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Images ought to be posted at the same time as the 'for sale' thread, rather than just leaving them as a link. I'll transfer them for you.

Apparently this Mk2 unit is a better performer than the current Mk3 incarnation.
    Good price too

Not sure where you get that from. The MKIII is almost universally thought of as superior in online reviews

    Hi drew
I didn’t make it up Honest!!

the MKII apparently has an unmodified RIAA
This is supposed to outperform the MK3

Have you seen reviews where they compare the two units ?

Some people looked at the insides of both units and assigned lower capacitor count on MK3 to inferior build without knowing the circuit , that's how gossip starts
